Most Australians have enjoyed a Batlow Apple, famous for their sweet crispiness that can only be found in apples from the Batlow Region, located 450 kms south-west of Sydney.
Today, the Batlow Fruit Co-operative is recognised as one of the largest storage and packing operations in Australia, using processes and infrastructure which sees it at the forefront of the Australian apple industry.
We now market and pack over one million cases of apples every year, from 50 growers throughout the Batlow district.
In packing Australia's favourite apples and maintaining their premium quality, it has been necessary to invest heavily in the latest technology to wash, grade, wax and pack apples in a revolutionary process. These methods are worlds apart from the old hand packing methods used in previous decades.
As industry leaders, the Batlow Fruit Co-operative is one of only a few packing sheds in Australia to attain the world recognised quality standards of ISO 9002 and HACCP 9000.
